Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. What Vacarme is
Vacarme is a desktop application that runs on the user's own computer. The agent uses an embedded browser and the sessions the user has already opened, on accounts they own. Basecamp Labs does not host, operate, or drive any account on the user's behalf, and runs no task on its own servers.
Every task is configured and triggered by the user. When the agent encounters a security verification, it pauses the task and hands control back to the user.
2. Prohibited uses
You must not use Vacarme to:
- access accounts you do not own, or for which you have not received written authorization from the account holder;
- send unsolicited bulk messages (spam), or any commercial communication that does not comply with applicable consent and direct-marketing rules;
- collect personal data at scale, resell it, or build databases intended for resale;
- harass, impersonate others, or distribute defamatory, hateful, misleading, or unlawful content;
- publish infringing content or content that violates third-party intellectual property rights;
- circumvent security measures, access restrictions, or technical protection measures put in place by a site or platform;
- generate a volume of activity liable to degrade the operation of a third-party service;
- carry out any fraudulent activity, or any use contrary to applicable law.
3. User responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the tasks they configure, the content they have produced or published, and for complying with the terms of service of the platforms on which they use the Service. It is their responsibility to review those terms before use, and to ensure their processing of personal data complies with the GDPR when contacting third parties.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Any use contrary to this policy may be reported to [email protected]. Reports are reviewed within a reasonable time.
In the event of a breach, Basecamp Labs may suspend or terminate access to the Service, without notice in the case of a serious breach, and without refund of amounts already paid for the current period. Basecamp Labs cooperates with the competent authorities where required by law.
